Accepting the NAISS Generals Terms of Use¶

To use NAISS systems you need to accept the NAISS General Terms of Use in SUPR.

Do that on the NAISS General Terms of Use page in SUPR.

If that page shows that you have already accepted the terms, you are done. Otherwise, there are a few different alternative ways to accept the terms. The table below lists them in rough order of simplicity. Use the first one that works for you.

Earlier user agreement¶

If you have accepted an earlier user agreement such as the "NAISS User Agreement" or the "Berzelius User Agreement", you will be sent directly to a page "NAISS General Terms of Use (Additional)" where you can accept the terms online.

Swedish academic federated identity¶

If you have logged in to SUPR with a federated identity from a Swedish university or other member of the SWAMID identity federation, and your identity is verified enough ("SWAMID AL2" or better) you will be sent directly to a page "NAISS General Terms of Use (Federated)" where you can accept the terms online.

If you are not logged in via federated identity, the page will have a heading Alternative: Online with Federated Identity and there will be a button to Login with Federated Identity or Register Federated Identity that you can use. You will have to select your home identity provider and login using your local method.

Other academic federated identity¶

If you have logged in to SUPR with a federated identity from a university or other member of the eduGain identity interfederation, and your identity is verified enough ("REFEDS Assurance Framework Medium" or better) you will be sent directly to a page "NAISS General Terms of Use (Federated)" where you can accept the terms online.

If you are not logged in via federated identity, the page will have a heading Alternative: Online with Federated Identity and there will be a button to Login with Federated Identity or Register Federated Identity that you can use. You will have to select your home identity provider and login using your local method.

If SUPR tells you there is a problem with your affiliation or assurance, it did not get enough information from your home identity provider to be able to use it for identity verification. Use one of the alternatives below instead.

Swedish eID via eduID.se¶

To use this alternative, first register a user at eduID.se. In eduID.se, verify your identity using their Freja+ or BankID options.

Back on the NAISS General Terms of Use page in SUPR, use the Register Federated Identity button under the Alternative: Online with Federated Identity heading to register your eduID identity as your federated identity in SUPR, searching for eduID.se on the identity provider selection page (not your home identity provider if you have one).

You will then get to the "NAISS General Terms of Use (Federated)" page where you can accept the terms online.

Europan eID via eduID.se¶

To use this alternative, first register a user at eduID.se. In eduID.se, verify your identity using their eIDAS option. See eduID.SE help for eIDAS.

Back on the NAISS General Terms of Use page in SUPR, use the Register Federated Identity button under the Alternative: Online with Federated Identity heading to register your eduID identity as your federated identity in SUPR, searching for eduID.se on the identity provider selection page (not your home identity provider if you have one).

You will then get to the "NAISS General Terms of Use (Federated)" page where you can accept the terms online.

Passport scanning via eduID.se¶

To use this alternative, first register a user at eduID.se. In eduID.se, verify your identity using their Freja option. See eduID.SE help for Freja. You will have to install their app and scan your biometric passport via NFC.

Back on the NAISS General Terms of Use page in SUPR, use the Register Federated Identity button under the Alternative: Online with Federated Identity heading to register your eduID identity as your federated identity in SUPR, searching for eduID.se on the identity provider selection page (not your home identity provider if you have one).

You will then get to the "NAISS General Terms of Use (Federated)" page where you can accept the terms online.

Paper¶

Use this alternative if none of the alternatives above work. Under the Alternative: Offline via Paper Form heading use the Accept User Agreement via Paper Form button. You will then get to the "NAISS General Terms of Use (Paper)" page where you can read the terms and then download and print a form for accepting. Sign it and mail it and the appropriate ID photocopy to the address shown on the form. Do not send scanned copies via email.

Forms received via paper mail are handled at NAISS every working day. You will get an email from SUPR when your form has been received and handled.
